    ABM OFFICIAL ANNOUCEMENT

    15th Jun 2020

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله وبركاته

As part of the government strategy regarding reopening from COVID-19 lockdown, the government has announced that from 13th Jun 2020, the place of worship can reopen for individual prayers only. However, for the safety and well being of our community, Abu Bakr Masjid will continue to remain temporarily closed until further notice.

The risk of transmitting the COVID-19 remains a significant threat to the lives of people in our communities.  With a large number of BAME (Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic) and elderly members, who have disproportionately affected during the pandemic, Abu Bakr Masjid considers the safety and well-being of our congregation as of paramount concern. This decision will be kept under constant review, as will requisite risk assessments and the preparation of adequate safety measures.

Abu Bakr Madrassa, adult educational classes and all other community services will also continue to be delivered through online platform until further notice.

We would like to thank our community for their understanding, support and patience during these unprecedented times. We pray that Allah (SWT) keep us all in His protection and hope that our masjid reopens very soon Insha Allah.
